Baby on the way!!

Here's the classic picture of the "urine stick". We also posted a picture of Gin at 21 weeks...getting a nice belly.

It's a little late being posted on the blog, but for anyone who didn't know before, now you do. We are so excited to be having a little daughter. She is due on July 3rd.

Gin is finally getting through the worst part of her sickness...knock on wood. She is 21 weeks right now and just started feeling better after trying all sorts of morning sickness tricks, several anti-nausea drugs, and several trips to the emergency room.

Andy is so excited to be a dad and has been so supportive through everything.

We've had a couple of ultrasounds which showed ten toes and 11 fingers...I mean 10. We have another ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow where we can hopefully confirm that there are the appropriate number of appendages.

Jack-O-Lanterns

On this day, October 28th, 2007, our good friends Aidan and Tara came to join us for an evening of exotic pumpkin-carving! Gin carved a cat face (no surprise there, although she was very creative), Tara carved a silly face, and Aidan carved little heart eyes with a big grin because he wanted his pumpkin to be happy. During the carving, Aidan spent his time nibbling on raisins and stale wheat thins. In the pic on the right, he is showing off his full belly! :)

House is just about done

Just over four weeks till we can move into our home. You can see that we're just working on the finishing touches. Once we're done with the house, we'll start on the yard. We can't wait!!

Trip to San Francisco

Andy had to spend a couple days in San Francisco for work and was able to take Gin with him (thank you very much Chevron). While Andy was in his meetings, Gin enjoyed a day of shopping and being pampered with room service. Andy was able to get out of his meetings early so we had time to go check out the Golden Gate Bridge (including a bobcat), dinner at Pier 39, downtown SanFran (plenty amusing), and the Oakland temple (beautiful).

Our Pet Peeve

Gin adopted little PJ from the animal shelter this last week. Gin couldn't decide between the names of Peeve and Jarvis, so she decided to give her both names. Little Peeve has left a few smelly surprises for us, but Gin is doing all she can to potty-train her. Andy says that she better be fully potty-trained before we move into our house next month, or she might be heading back to the shelter. Gin looks forward every day to greeting her little Peeve when she gets home from school or work. Andy just tries to make sure she doesn't leave any more smelly surprises around the apartment. We hope that all of you will soon be able to meet our little "Pet Peeve"!!

Updated House

Ready for stucco and brick. Finishing up the dry-wall. The windows look beautiful, as does the lovely dirt yard. We are getting really excited! Less than 2 months before the big move-in date!

Bakersfield=Fun

Merissa came for a nice little visit to ol' Bakersfield last week. It was so nice to have her here!!! You can imagine one of the top things on her list to do... shop. The other top priority of the week was a nice little hair cut. Sick of the long mops both girls had acquired, they went in for a nice butch. So these pics are the results of chopped mops. The pic in the center is Merissa looking divine in a leopard print shawl. The other pics are at our apartment and also at the beautiful, enchanting LAX airport, where we were saying our goodbyes. :( If anyone else would like to make a trip to the beautiful town of Bakersfield, come on down. The price is right.
